Sprint CTO sets New Year's resolution for faster, better coverage

Sprint has set “aggressive goals” for 2017, its chief technology officer said in a Wednesday blog post. Looking back at 2016, John Saw said the Overland Park-based carrier focused on improving network performance using its spectrum assets while also reining in spending.

“It’s the year we closed the performance gap; it’s the year our customers (and the competition) stood up and took notice …” Saw wrote.

Instagram rankings give KC doughnut shop the crown

In Kansas and Missouri, doughnuts are king.

To scout out the most popular restaurant in each state, plus Washington, D.C., USA Today skipped the typical Yelp reviews and turned to Instagram.

It used an Instagram data specialist to find the restaurants that users posted about the most. For Missouri, a Kansas City-based doughnut shop came out on top.
