KC-area dealership owner pleads guilty to gambling charge, forfeits more than $1M

The owner of a local dealership forfeited more than $1 million for participating in an illegal gambling business. 

Brandon Steven, who owns Eddy’s Mazda of Lee’s Summit and is a partner in Genesis Health Clubs, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a federal misdemeanor charge of being an accessory after the fact to the unlawful transmission of wagering information, according to a release.
