Kansas City-based Lifted Spirits Distillation LLC released three new products, including its first whiskey.

Lifted Spirits released Wheat Whiskey, which will be a year-round release, and two new vodkas — Jasmine Rooibos & Lemon and Jalapeño & Herb — as part of its Experimental Series.

HCA Midwest moves chief nursing officer from one OP hospital to another

Nan Whalen, a nursing executive with experience at two HCA Midwest Health hospitals, is the new chief nursing officer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, the hospital announced Thursday.

Whalen began the position leading the nursing staff at the 351-bed HCA Midwest hospital on Oct. 8. Most recently, she was the chief nursing officer at Menorah Medical Center since September 2015. Christopher Elbow collaborates with local brewer on new beer

A trip to Honduras inspired a Kansas City brewer’s latest release, a beer made in collaboration with Christopher Elbow Chocolates.

Torn Label Brewing Co.’s new beer is called 18 Rabbits Imperial Stout, and it’s a limited release expected to be available Nov. 16. The beer is part of Torn Label’s Artists Series.

These are KC's most endangered buildings and neighborhoods [PHOTOS]

Historic Kansas City has released its list of the historic area buildings and places that face the greatest risk of being lost.

The 2017-2018 Most Endangered list includes four areas of Kansas City and numerous individual buildings that are at risk of being destroyed or simply crumbling into obscurity.

The 18th & Vine Jazz District, Westport, the Country Club Plaza and the Old Northeast are among the areas the group has concerns about.
