Sprint Corp. CEO Marcelo Claure said he met with President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday and committed to create or bring 5,000 jobs back to the United States.

Former UMKC chancellor George Russell dies at 95

George Russell, a longtime chancellor of the University of Missouri-Kansas City and later president of the University of Missouri System, died Tuesday at the age of 95.

Services are scheduled for Friday at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 W. Third St., Lee’s Summit.
